Soraya- September 2024

September marks the 1-year anniversary of the publication of new adult fantasy novel, Angoleth's Heir. It's the first book in the Dragons of Angoleth series. Yes, this a book I wrote myself, but who would I be if I didn't try to talk up the dragons in my own writing now and again along with my other favorites? So, here is a little bit about the shape-shifting princess dragon, Soraya.

Soraya does not know she is a dragon or a princess. She grows up in New York as a human with her adopted family and lives a mostly normal teenage life, until her strange abilities start going wacky on her. After a fight breaks out on the streets, Soraya finds herself being transported to another dimension, a place called Angoleth, where her true nature is revealed.

With a royal heritage of blue ice dragons, Soraya needs to find out what world she wants to stake her claim. Her heart belongs to one world, with her family and friends, while her body belongs in another with other dragons. She has a lot to learn about living as a dragon and the dark magic and chaos do not make anything easy.

Soraya's stubborn but loyal personality are what make her a truly lovable character as her flaws are found to be a strength and not a weakness. Soraya is the main character but is surrounded by many other fun and supportive dragons, and one human best friend that is more like a sister to her.

With Heidi by her side, Soraya begins to find out her destiny and the call of the wind in her wings. Trouble lurks in every rock's shadow and Soraya is determined to help the dragons in Angoleth even though she is not from their world. Her big heart and strong will are her foundations in the constant turmoil that begins to surround her. From snarky male dragons trying to earn her attention, to dangerous villains that just want her dead, she has a lot to manage in this new magical realm.

Not all heroes wear capes, some have wings and a sharp tongue. Check out Soraya's story, available on all book seller sites. Just look up the book titled Angoleth's Heir by Meagan Poetschlag.
