Clay

October makes me think of sweet treats. What better dragon to represent the yummy season than Clay, the fun-loving dragonet from the popular Wings of Fire book series.

He is compassionate, brave, strong, loyal, and of course, hungry. One of the best things that I love about him is his hungry belly. He will eat just about anything if labeled as food.

Throughout the series Clay becomes a strong foundation for his band of friends as they try to save the dragon clans from war.

The first book in this amazing series for teens is all in Clay's point of view. When I read these stories with my daughter, she enjoyed how each book changed which character it followed. It really gives you a grand perspective of the dragons and the different factions within them as you go along. I love how diverse the dragons of this world are. Clay is only one amazing dragon among them. A Mudwing.
